The On The Veranda Lecture Series on Sunday, April, 29 brings an afternoon conversation between Hiromi Paper  and LACMA Conservationists On The Veranda of the Garden Room. The audience will be introduced to fine art paper and artisans from the world of papermaking in Washi and Youshi: Japanese paper and Western paper.

Hiromi Paper will present a one hour discussion on washi, youshi, and art with special video clips on washi paper makers in Japan, and behind the scenes look on some of Hiromi Paper’s greatest art projects. Soko Furuhata, LACMA conservator, will present on washi, youshi, and conservation.
